Daniela Hantuchova Biography!

Daniela Hantuchova was born April 23, 1983 in Poprad, Slovakia, is a professional tennis player. Nigel Sears has twice been her coach, WTA Official Website says that Daniela isn't currently working with one coach but travels with various coaches from the Casal/Sánchez Academy in Barcelona. Her WTA Tour mentor in the Partners for Success program was Martina Navratilova, who was her doubles partner for a brief period in early 2005. On May 01, 2006, she was ranked #16 in the world in singles and #13 in the world in doubles.

She has been called "The Slovakian Skeleton," chiefly by British tabloids and internet bloggers. This began after she lost a significant amount of weight during early 2003. This weight loss was accompanied by unsubstantiated rumors that she suffered from an eating disorder, with anorexia nervosa being cited most often.
